Dr. Yen’s office staff is unique in their approach to patient care: they understand that the service and quality provided by this office is unmatched, and yet they constantly strive to improve on themselves.

They have invested hundreds of hours in continuing education to update their skills and knowledge of advanced dental procedures, as well as service oriented seminars. MICHELE SMITH
I was born in Ohio and grew up in Mesa Arizona. I moved to Long Beach, California to marry my husband Dan. I have one son, Christian, who is currently attending California State University at Northridge. Until his graduation from high school, I was very involved in high school football activities. My hobbies include reading, watching movies, baking and shopping.

I spent 30 years in the banking industry before beginning a new career in the dental field with Dr. Yen in January 2005. So far I have really enjoyed the change because it stiill involves customer service but at a more personal level.

I am proud to be part of Dr. Yen's dynamic team and look forward to welcoming you to our practice and helping you
with your dental needs.

SOLINDA "LIN" THACH
I obtained my dental assisting degree in 2007 and have been preparing to get my RDA licence.

I have been a member of Dr. Yen's dental assisting team since September 2008. Prior to that I assisted in a restorative practice. My experience with computers has allowed me to participate in the care of patients unique to this prosthodontic practice since all records are digitized. I help Dr. Yen with everything digital--from e-mail correspondence to uploading and organizing his digital images and creating slideshows. I look forward to assisting in your dental care and ensuring your comfort.

I am bilingual in English and Cambodian. I am single--I enjoy listening to music, reading and working on the computer.

VILMA "VI" CAPIENDO, DMD, RDA
I have been in the field of dentistry for over 20 years. I graduated from Lyceum Northwestern Dental School, Philippines in 1985, and moved to California in 1993.

I am also a registered dental assistant and am well versed in the various aspects of dental care unique in the field of prosthodontics and advanced reconstructive dentistry. I am bilingual in English and Tagalog (Philippine native language).

My duties include making impressions, fabricating provisionals, and reassembling implant components. I am also trained in doing certain laboratory procedures--by keeping these steps in-house, Dr. Yen ensures a consistent standard in the prostheses that are fabricated.

I am a mother of a 22 year-old son and a precious 5 year-old daughter. I have been working with Dr. Yen since 1998. I am here to help make your dental visit as pleasant as possible.

JOYCE KRANIG
I join Michele as one of the front office team members. A native Texan, I started my dental career with Dr. Yen in 1992 and I don't mind the 17 mile commute because I love being part of Dr. Yen's team.

I love spending time with my two beautiful little granddaughters, Ashlyn and JoAnna. I love fly fishing, taking photographs, reading, taking exotic trips, and dining out.

I am a graduate of the PSI Seminars and director of JK Marketing. No question is too small, no request too large. I am here to help should you need anything during your visit.
